A New Dawn for Lohara: Reviving Hope through Education
Nestled within the Bulandshahr District of Uttar Pradesh, Lohara Village is a vibrant community of 6,000 residents where life is defined by the rhythm of agriculture and daily labor. While the village is rich in spirit, it has long faced a silent crisis: a widening educational gap. For over a decade, many children who lack access to private tuition or academic guidance at home found themselves at a crossroads, struggling to keep their dreams alive against the weight of financial hardship.
The Return of a Legacy
For ten years, Discipleship Centre (DC) served as a beacon of light in Lohara, providing a safe space where students transformed from “underperformers” into confident achievers. When resource limitations forced the centre to close in 2014, it left a void that was felt deeply by every household. The community watched as a generation drifted without the structured support they so desperately needed.
On May 4, 2026, that void was finally filled. Following a heartfelt request from the Village Pradhan, the Lohara Project was officially re-inaugurated, marking the end of a 12-year hiatus.
A Human Connection
The inauguration was more than an event; it was an emotional homecoming. Elders spoke movingly about the ‘lost years’, sharing how the lack of direction had led many youth astray. One parent noted:
“We have seen the success of children who attended this centre years ago. We don’t just want tuition; we want a future for our children.”
The overwhelming turnout exceeded all expectations, proving that the heart of Lohara still beats for education. Today, the centre is back, and not just as a school, but as a sanctuary of hope, moral guidance, and the promise that every child, regardless of their background, deserves a direct path to a better life.
We are proud to stand with the families of Lohara as we write this next chapter together.
