Urgent Delhi Flood Relief: Supporting Families in Gadda Colony, Madanpur Khadar

When torrential rains struck Delhi in September 2025, Gadda Colony near Madanpur Khadar was among the worst affected. Floodwaters swept into homes, leaving families with no choice but to take shelter by the roadside. With little food, inadequate shelter, and disrupted sanitation, the community faced fear and uncertainty.

At Discipleship Centre, we believe no family should face such hardship alone. Guided by compassion and solidarity, our team immediately mobilized to bring relief and restore dignity.

Our First Response: Hot Meals in a Time of Hunger

On 8th and 9th September 2025, Discipleship Centre, in partnership with Thaagam Foundation, reached the flood-affected families of Gadda Colony. Together, we distributed 500 hot meals, ensuring that children, mothers, and elders—many of whom had gone days without food—received warm, nourishing meals.

This first step was more than food; it was a message of care and reassurance that the community was not forgotten.

Update: From Our Hearts to Their Homes

Discipleship Centre, in partnership with Thaagam Foundation, provided dry ration kits to 50 vulnerable families. Each kit included staples like rice, atta, dal, sugar, oil, salt, spices, along with soap, hair oil, and sanitary pads.

Families expressed joy and gratitude for the timely support. We are thankful to our supporters whose generosity continues to bring hope, dignity, and care to the community.
