Introduction: A Vision of Inclusion
“The only disability in life is a bad attitude.” – Scott Hamilton
On June 23, 2026, the Discipleship Centre, in a powerful partnership with the American India Foundation (AIF) and the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre (VRC), hosted a transformative Job Mela specifically designed for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The event was a vibrant testament to the belief that talent knows no boundaries and that equal opportunity can change lives.
The atmosphere was charged with hope, determination, and a shared vision of an inclusive corporate world where everyone, regardless of their physical or sensory challenges, can thrive.
Highlights of the Day
The Job Mela welcomed individuals across all types of disabilities, creating a truly inclusive environment.
A Special Presence: A deeply moving highlight of the event was the participation of 30 visually impaired youth from the Blind Relief Association. Their enthusiasm and confidence set a beautiful tone for the entire day.

Voices from the Ground & Key Observations
The event provided a wonderful platform for our team to interact closely with the candidates. Listening to their stories, aspirations, and dreams was both humbling and inspiring.
Many candidates expressed immense gratitude but also left us with a vital piece of feedback: “Please reach out to even more companies so that more people like us can get jobs.”
This feedback highlighted a profound reality: the talent is ready, qualified, and eager; it is the market that needs to expand its horizons. It has strengthened our resolve to bridge the gap between corporate requirements and this pool of exceptional talent.
A Heartfelt Note of Gratitude
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller
This beautiful and impactful day would not have been possible without the collective effort of our incredible partners—the American India Foundation and the VRC. We extend our deepest gratitude to the recruiting companies who came with an open mind, the volunteers who managed the logistics with love, and the Blind Relief Association for their participation.
Most of all, we thank the candidates. Your resilience is our inspiration. Together, we have taken a major step toward a world where ability is the only thing that counts.
